  1. Thank you so much. I can’t wait to read it !!!
Your site is very informative and I thoroughly enjoy your articles and interviews.
I have sent a link to your FB page to other Tudor loving friends.
Good luck on the comp ! 😀

    • Thank you Kate! I think you’re going to enjoy the book very much. It really is so lovely to have an enthusiastic group of people to share my ‘obsession’ with.

  2. Robin Martin says:

I am so excited to see so many people getting on Anne’s side of the story!!! Philippa Gregory is my favorite author of the Tudor history. Thank you so much for sharing with us!

  3. I too enjoy Philippa’s novels Robin. Good luck!

  4. I’ve never read anything from Margaret’s point of view and since I’ve read The White Queen it would be great to read this.
I truly enjoy your articles about Anne.

Thanks for making this worldwide 🙂

  5. Alyson Champion says:

I love Philippa Gregory! The White Queen was rather spectacular.

I’d love to see more on Jane Grey. She and Anne and Elizabeth are my three favorites. They’re such fascinating and dynamic women.

  6. I love Tudor history – the Spring break of my senior year of college my British professor took me and 15 other ladies to study Tudor history in England. It will always have a special place in my heart, and I can’t WAIT to read this book by Philippa Gregory! My favorite part of Tudor history is Lady Jane Grey and her nine days rule. She is a fascinating character caught in the struggle of much larger forces.

  7. Hello Colleen, your Tudor study trip must have been a wonderful experience! There is nothing like immersing yourself in the history. Thank you for your suggestions, it seems Lady Jane Grey is a popular choice.

  8. I would love to receive this book! I am a librarian and I devour books, like gluttons devour meals. I agree with the previous post, Lady Jane Grey deserves more attention. Poor thing!

  9. Oh, this sounds so cool!
I like Gregory’s books and the Tudors fascinate me!
I have a good friend who is crazy about the whole era in history!!

I am afraid I am not that knowledgeable about the Tudors so anything would really be to my liking, but I’d love to learn more about the Queens that only stayed Queen for a little time! *g*

  10. Thanks for the chance to win! 😀

Well I’d love to win this book because I love Philippa Gregory’s stories. She’s the author that peaked my interest in Historical romances. I loved The Other Boleyn Girl, and the Boleyn Inheritance. 🙂

  11. I’m not paricularly a fan of Phillipa Gregory after what she did to The Other Boleyn Girl and everything….but I promised myself that I’d give her another try just to see whether I prefer her other books! I think she’s a bit like Marmite: you either love her or you hate her! 🙂
As for articles and posts, I’d love to see something on the Seymour brothers and their wives! I don’t like the Seymours very much at all (mainly to do with Jane) but her two brothers and their wives have always interested me! And Lady Jane Grey too, she was such a wonderful figure in history with such a tragic tale.

  12. I have never read any of Philippa Gregory’s books but I would love to after reading your review and to see if she is a worthy successor to the Jean Plaidy books I was so addicted to when I was growing up. I used to scour charity shops looking for her books. i would also be interested to see the new spin she can put on this fascinating period.

Apart from wanting to be considered for the book, I would love to say how much I enjoy your blog. Keep up the good work! I have learnt all sorts of little snippets and I love learning more about this time and these people and places!

  13. Carol Wong says:

I sold some of my books to buy the White Queen and now I really want to read the Red Queen. In your review, you stated that it is good to get a different perspective of the story, not just settle for one. I agree whole heartly. Some of the research that I have done on my ancestors was very harsh towards my direct ancestor. I explored some more and found out that there was a longstanding feud between the author’s family and my ancestors! So, now I read the author’s biography first to see if it might be strain for him or her to remain neutral when telling the history. I do think it is possible to relate a unbiased story but it is so disappointing to find out that the story was slanted to favor the writer’s ancestors. I am very interested in this book so I am grateful to have a chance to win this book.

  14. I would like to win this book, because I am a fan of Philippa Gregory and The Tudor Dynasty! I really enjoy reading historical fiction books, and those written by Philippa Gregory are pure masterpieces!
I also enjoy very much to visit your page and read articles. I think you are writing in very interesting way. The article which I would love to see is some kind of fictional story of how Anne Boleyn felt on the day of her coronation 1st June 1533.
    Kisses!
