New book giveaway competition! C.W Gortner’s ‘The Last Queen’

The Last Queen by C.W. Gortner

Last week I announced the winner of our December book giveaway competition at On the Tudor Trail, congratulations again Elina from Finland!

Today I am very happy to post the details of our January/February book giveaway competition. This time the lucky winner will receive a copy of C.W Gortner’s The Last Queen, the story of Juana of Castile the third child of Isabel of Castile and Ferdinand of Aragon.

It is an evocative and vivid portrayal of the life of a Queen that history all but forgot. I was hooked from the beginning and immediately drawn into the world of this beautiful and intelligent woman. Read my review of The Last Queen here and learn more about the author in my interview here.

Entry is only open to our mailing list subscribers (if you are not one already, sign up on our homepage) and residents of all countries! Yes- that’s right, I am happy to post the book to the lucky winner anywhere in the world!

To enter simply introduce a friend to On the Tudor Trail and ask them to join our Facebook page. Then leave me a comment with the name of the friend that you introduced and voila- you’re in the running to win this fabulous book.

Remember to leave your name and a contact email.

Feel free to email all your friends and family about this competition whether they live in Brazil, Ireland or Sweden- all welcomed!

Our book giveaway competition is opened until 10pm on the 28th February, 2011 (Australian Eastern Standard Time) and the winner will be announced on the 1st March 2011!

Good luck!

  1. How great! Its funny, i actually just researched Joanna of Castile. Her story is sad, with the people in her life using her power to get themselves ahead politically.. Her own son confining her to a monastery for so long. I would be interested to know if the book sees her this way, or ‘mad’, as she was accused of being by her family…

  2. What a great competition. I’ve been wanting to read this book for a while now, but it’s not available locally. I introduced my friend Marina N to On the Tudor Trail. Thanks!

  3. Thanks for entering Claire. Good luck!

  4. I introduced my friend Michelle Huggins-Boyea to On The Tudor Trail. 🙂
