  4. Karen Massoni says:

They are a fascinating combination of the best AND the worst of all of their ancestors: Plantagenets; Yorks and Lancasters! What a dynasty!

  5. Anne Dorval says:

As a child in the 70’s watching the BBC series The Six Wives of Henry the 8th I was totally fascinated by the romance and intrigue. I have been hooked on Tudor history ever since.

  8. Abby Lockridge says:

I am fascinated by the Tudor era because I find it incredibly amazing that basically one woman (Anne Boleyn) through her beauty and charm essentially changed the church and the face of England forever and that her daughter (Elizabeth I) would eventually become the heir that Henry VIII never knew he always wanted.

  9. Terrie Jackson says:

When I was 14 ‘The Six Wives of Henry VIII was on our PBS Here in the USA. Back in 1972. Ever since then I’m been hook on Tudor History.

I love the pomp and circumstance, the traditions and the loyalty to king and family. I love the simplicity, yet danger, they faced everyday.

  12. People say you are a product of your environment. I love to dig into the product and not judge them too much.

  13. Mindi Baldwin says:

I have been a Tudor fanatic for several decades now and for me, it is the opulence of the era. Court with all of its glittering personalities, clothing and backdrops.

  14. As a kid, we were not allowed to watch TV during long summer days. I was a reader and found the book Anne Boleyn by Evelyn Anthony. I was hooked and have been fascinated by Anne ever since. This sounds crazy to some, but sometimes, I think I lived another life during that time.

  15. Catherine says:

Tudors have it all ! Power, Drama ,Pomp, War, Peace, Mystery, Romances and Riches. With all that , it makes them endlessly fascinating !!

  16. Eilean Terry says:

The Tudor era fascinates me because of my family tree. I am VERY distantly related to the Monarchy. I think it is neat that my ancestors are well known. So many people only ever get a name when they find an ancestor… I can find out what they ate for lunch!

  17. Melissa Reeves says:

The Tudor era is fascinating because of Anne! She caused the King to divorce, abandon his religion, and was the first of the beheading group.

  18. Sheri SHILEIKA says:

What little girl doesn’t dream of being or becoming a princess or queen? I enjoy reading about England and the royals because its much like fairy tales: a break from common everyday life.

I imagine the hardships and trials of the women in those times and wonder what I’d do.
