Hello.
My name is Meghan and i am currently carrying out research for my extended project titled: ‘The Pyschology of Henry VII’. I found this video very helpful, but would appriciate any additional information that people may have on this topic. In particular, i would love to find out more on whether Henry actually had a peronality disorder, and how this may have affected his relationships with his family and courtiers.
Many thanks.
Hello Meghan, you said Henry VII but I am assuming you meant Henry VIII. Have you read Suzannah Lipscomb’s book, 1536- The Year That Changed Henry VIII? I daresay this will assist you in your research. You might also be interested in the theory that proposes that Henry VIII was positive for the Kell blood group and also suffered from McLeod syndrome. You can read more here and an interview with the authors here. Another book that might interest you is H.M Castor’s ‘VIII’ recently published. Although it is a novel it is brilliant and really gets into Henry’s head. I would recommend reading it just for this great perspective. Read my review here. I hope this has been helpful.
