I have just posted a list of non-fiction books about The Tudors and Tudor England that I have referred to when researching posts and articles for my site. I have also added some that I have not yet read but that I have heard good reviews about. The books have been organised under topics of interest including Anne Boleyn, Six Wives, Henry VIII & Court, Mary, Elizabeth & Edward, Other Tudor Personalities, Life in Tudor England and more!
This is a work in progress, as I will be adding more books as they are published (and as I get around to reading them…) and will eventually briefly annotate the titles to give you an idea of what the books are about. My aim is to only add titles that I consider to be the best available. This is by no means an exhaustive list of sources on Tudor England.
Please keep in mind that there are always varying opinions on the quality and usefulness of books and this list simply reflects books that I have found useful and would like to share with you.
I would be delighted to hear from you if you have read a book that you think should be added to the list. Together we can make this a very useful resource for Tudor fans.

Ah, Ha! What a delightful web site for the searcher after Anne Boleyn. I have always wondered about Anne Boleyn’s religious up bringing and her need to write. She was far more elegant and intelligent than the other wives of Henry VIII (the cruel). If She had been allowed to live in another country or part of England, what could she have accomplished for the people who depended upon her kindness and education? Would she have elevated the opportunity for young girls to attend school and not live such wretched lives? What writings and letters do we not know about that the Catholic Church and others have in their historical libraries? ATK
