The Blood of Henry VIII

Henry VIII and his Queens

Dr Catrina Whitley has just announced that her new website is up and running. Although minimal at the moment you will still find mini bio’s on the authors, contact information and importantly, a link to the full article, ‘A New Explanation for the Reproductive Woes and Midlife Decline of Henry VIII’.

As discussed in previous posts, the authors propose that Henry VIII was positive for the Kell blood group and suffered from McLeod Syndrome.

Read the full article for yourself, assess the evidence and let me know what your thoughts are.

  1. I wish they would of known this information back during the tudor times. It is unfair to Katherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. We finally know that it was not their fault they did not give birth to living sons. I wonder if God really did punish Henry for marrying his brother’s wife as according to the bible. In leviticus 20-21 it states if a man marries his brother’s widow they would die childless. Only one child of theirs lived while many others died. I also wonder if Katherine of Aragon was really a virgin when she came to Henry’s bed.
