It’s time for this year’s Tudor Ghost Story Contest!
You are invited to submit an unpublished Tudor ghost story of between 1,500-3,000 words. The story must be your own work and emailed to natalie@onthetudortrail.com by October 31, 2012.
The lucky winner will have their story published by On the Tudor Trail, receive a copy of VIII by H.M Castor, an enthralling, psychological thriller, a Tudor roller coaster ride with some laugh out loud moments and others truly terrifying; scenes that continue to haunt me even now (read my full review here) AND Le Temps Viendra – A Novel of Anne Boleyn by Sarah Morris. This epic historical novel tells the story of Anne Boleyn with a twist! Incredibly well researched and detailed, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the author, like her protagonist, had unlocked the secrets of time travel…
One runner up will win an autographed copy of Where Spirits Dwell, fascinating true-life stories of haunted houses and paranormal experiences written by my sister, Karina Machado! This book has been described as ‘fascinating, thought provoking, addictive’ and I can guarantee, is very difficult to put down!

Hi, I have just had a look on your sister’s website, her books sound very interesting, I love true stories of haunting and ghostly experiences since my early teens. I have had a couple of experiences myself….I think I will be treating myself to one of them, with Halloween and long dark nights approaching it will give the right atmosphere to read about some ‘ghostly goings on’….you can never have enough books!! (says she who has a pile a mile high on all things Tudor still to read, plus the one I was lucky enough to win from your site too) 🙂 Can’t wait to read the competion entries.
Has there been a winner announced? I hope I didn’t miss reading them 🙂
Not yet Bridget. Wendy J. Dunn has been very busy judging the entries and so we’re hoping to announce the winners this week! 🙂
Thanks Natalie, glad I didn’t miss anything 🙂
I am delighted to announce that Wendy J. Dunn has made her decision – a BIG congratulations to Debbie Fenton whose story ‘Ghost Boat’ has been selected as the winner. Congratulations are also in order for Cynthia Green, whose story ‘The Final Rose’ was selected as runner up.
