This is an international giveaway.
Good luck! Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for your chance to win Robert Parry’s wonderful book, ‘Elizabeth the Virgin Queen and the Men Who Loved Her’.
I love the cessation of the kids’ extracurricular activities. It enables us to take a couple of weeks to be together in the evenings with no running around.
What I love about the holiday season is the fact that somehow people seem to be a little bit nicer, the light seem to sparkle a little bit brighter and the food seems to taste even better than normally. I love that the Christmas spirit, however much forgotten these days is apparent in everything we do during the holiday season. We care about each other and be kind to one another. Taking the time to share a precious amount of times with your loved ones, that is what the holiday season is all about for me.
The best part is the family time 🙂
I love Christmas and of course the Tudors! Queen Elizabeth I is one of my most favorite historical queens.
Queen Anne Boleyn was a good queen and I would love to have this beautiful ornament hanging on my tree. Have a wonderful holiday season!
I love the reassurance of faith and humanity that Christmastime reveals and embracing the joy of it. .
I love all the traditions of Christmas. The sending of cards in the mail and the receiving. The human contact of Christmas hugs and mistletoe toe. The time for closeness where people are face to face and not all communication by electronics. The family gatherings and home cooked food. Love and family and kidness to all. That is the best part of Christmas
I love putting up all the decorations that have been handed down to me, 4 generations worth now. I can look at old photos and see them in my family’s houses from long ago. Long lost members around their Christmas trees opening gifts or sharing a holiday dinner with so many people I love.
I love the happiness and joy that the Christmas Holidays bring that is shared with family and friends!
I love the holiday season and this ornament.
apart from the obvious of family returning from USA and England, I love the making and the baking in the run up to Christmas . I love both giving and receiving homemade gifts .
Christmas lights!
The smells that are unique to the Christmas season.
Celebrating the born of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My first Christmas with 3 Grand babies. The oldies is 3 and 2 were born in the last 2 months. Love being around all my children and grand babies .
I love spending time with family & friends & all the lovely food and presents & pretty lights & decorations. But, I am especially excited for this Christmas this year, as it is my birthday on the 16th December & I am going to Hever Castle as a special treat for my 21st!
I love to see the exciment and happiness of the children
I love the holidays and spending time with hubby and the kids making new traditions and lasting memories. It is my favorite time of the year.
I love the festivity of the season – the lights, the music, and the family coming together. We just had our first baby and while she is too little to get into the spirit of the season this year, I can’t wait for years to come.
i love the way Christmas brings our family together, even just in the small ways. Sure, we still have our traditional, large family gathering but what makes me happiest is the way it pulls the immediate family together whether it is decoration the tree or driving around and looking at Christmas lights, it makes you take time out of your day to spend it with each other and talk more than usual.
Greetings, and what a wonderful website you have. As for the holidays, well, I think it’s a basically introspective time that has been made into a big business, which is jarring. Having said that, I also love blue fairy lights, the evergreens that remind us of life in the darkest time, and the gift giving, which originally was meant to cement ties between family and friends. I love the dancing and singing. I have a collection of unusual ornaments, and Queen Anne would be a most welcome edition.
Christmas is the best time of the year! Full of promise, time spent with family/friends and the hope for a better year to come.
What I love about the holidays is the excitement I get to experience with my son. We travel to a big city to meet Santa and see massive displays of lights. Nothing can compare when I see him light up as he learns the meaning of the season.
The Christmas Spirit, everyone seems to make an effort to be more nice to each other. The look in my children’s eyes when they see the Christmas lights. The hope that peace on earth may actually happen????
I love the look of pure magic on the childrens faces throughout the season
Honoring the birth of Christ with my loved ones
Love shopping and trying to find the perfect gift but do so hate the wrapping. Rather than the tooth fairy can I have a wrapping fairy. lol
I confess; it’s the food I love most.
I love all the decorations, family, food and Christmas carols!
What I love most is the magic, the hope, and all the wonders that fill the air around the holiday season. Sharing all of that with friends and family and reaching out to those in need. Christmas is my most favorite season of them all, and sharing my happiness with others brings warmth to my heart and soul.
Love spending time with my family. Love having friends around and entertaining everybody!
The thing I love most is my lovely partner having two whole weeks off.
I love Christmas time because both sides of my family get together and I get to see family I haven’t seen all year. I also love the traditions my family has of eating junk food and watching A Christmas Story on Christmas Eve.
I love the holidays, because I get to spend time with my family and to help out the less fortunate. I donate cloths and toys to those that don’t have much. 10 years ago I and my family were one of the less fortunate. When I was about 10 years old I lived at a shelter for about a month, until we saved enough money to rent a house. I like to help it is my way of giving back.
What do I love about the holidays? Everything, from the gatherings, shopping, music, food and especially what the holidays were for. Celebrating the nativity
I love passing on family traditions to my own children. Baking, making candy & delivering goodie baskets to neighbors…all are things my own Mom did with my sister and me that I now do with my girls.
I most enjoy spending extra time with my friends around the holidays and making gifts. I am very fortunate to have such kind, loving people in my life! They are definitely the bright spot in the winter.
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved Christmas. Not only for all the gifts I received, but also because of the beautiful scenery, joy and unity. I think personally the best thing about Christmas is the flat, evenly spread out, bright, white, glistening, untouched snow scenery. I love the way snow gently, elegantly and slowly falls on branch upon branch. Yes, after some time the snow is driven over, sanded down and muddy, but that first snowfall makes me feel as though I am a little girl again, waking up late on an unexpected snow day, with my warm flannel pajamas on. As I can recall vividly, my face lit up by the shiny, white snow. I rushed downstairs, vigorously push my feet in my heavy-duty boots and quickly put on my hat, scarf, and gloves. Adamant to go outside, I grabbed my jacket and opened the door quickly before my mother stopped me. There I stood, gazing out on the winter wonderland with untied laces and layered with so much clothing, I looked as though a were a puffy as a marshmallow! My smile rose so far up, that it touched my sparkling eyes. Instantly, I was interrupted by my mother, who lectured me about the importance of eating breakfast, wearing even thicker layers of clothing and how malapropos it was to not greet people warmly first. After a quick, warm-the-soul-up hot chocolate, I zoomed outside, sinking in the snow. A few minutes later, I grew bored of looking and playing with the snow. I always had to get out that first intention; that burst of excitement! That is why I love Christmas, Not the gifts, for we can get gifts everyday! But the feeling of memories past, and making new ones, and passing tradition on to my own little girl… Thanks so much for allowing me to reflect, and If you choose me to receive the ornament, I will proudly display her on my tree!
I love decorating my Christmas tree and then turning down all the lamps and just basking in the glow of the tree and remembering where all the ornaments came from. And, the bittersweet memories of family members who are no longer with me, but I feel their loving spirit and the joy they brought to my life.
My favorite part of the holidays is seeing family that I don’t usually get to see. My cousin and her family live in a different state so the holidays is literally the only time we get to see them. We go to her house for thanksgiving then we take turns driving to the others place for christmas.
My second favorite is decorating the tree. My tree goes up right after thanksgiving and my little 3 year old daughter loves to look at the lights!
I love the holidays because it’s a time to get together with loved ones we may not see very often. It’s the opportunity to be grateful and appreciative of the family and friends we have and to reflect on those we have lost. The holidays to me will always equal family which is the most important thing.
I love everything about Christmas!
I absolutely love the Christmas season because I get to spend so much time with my family. This year at university has been especially tough and I am looking forward to being able to go home and spend time with the people I love most in the world. And, you know, the amazing food doesn’t hurt either!
i love singing the traditional Christmas carols. It gives me a sense of history and connection to the past.
I love how the season pulls people together, and I love spending time with my family!
I love seeing my children enjoy the things I enjoyed while growing up. Making Christmas cookies, decorating the Christmas tree, making Christmas dinner, seeing the Christmas lights, and more. Their smiles make everything perfect.
I love the cooler weather (live in the South so it’s not always cold!) and the sparkling lights and time with family and friends.
I love being with my family for the holidays. Having the house decorated, baking treats with my daughter, and the whole ambiance of the season.
I love the holiday season because… (dun dun dunnnn!)
1. school is out and I can read my “fun” books– all those history and Tudor related books I’ve collected during the semester that I haven’t had time to read.
2. I can bake! and cook! and nap! without feeling guilty for not doing papers, etc for school.
3. More snuggle time with my wonderful boyfriend and cat. No judge.
4. That warm fuzzy feeling I get when all of my family is around and having a good time.
I think that’ll do it. 🙂
Number 1, I love how everyone’s attitude seems to change for the good, at least for a little while! You read some amazing stories of people going out of their way to help someone who needs it. It makes me feel good to add a little magic to someone’s holiday! Isn’t that the reason for the season? Number 2 is, the smell of food cooking and baking; no holes barred eating!!!!
The break from school and work is welcome for sure.
i love the holidays and the look on the childrens faces when they see the lights trees christmas shows and santa. there is more caring and kindness this time of year. we put all our written wishes for the coming year into our christmas box and read them the following year. the lights on the trees and the family aroun the table makes us happy
