I love spending the whole day with my family. It’s so wonderful to see Christmas through the eyes of my little nieces and nephews. That’s the best gift of all. This year will be extra special since it’s my daughter’s 1st Christmas!

  2. Jordan Moore says:

I love getting to see family that I only get to see once (maybe twice) a year. What makes Christmas so special for me is that it is a time we all pause to reflect on what matters most to us and spend time with those we love.

  3. AElfgyva La Fae says:

I love gathering with friends to burn the Yule Log/

  4. I love the Holiday season because it gives me the chance to see my family! We all cook together and play games, I am always looking forward to this.

  5. Stephanie says:

So many reasons! My husband and son get time off from work and school and we watch movies together. My son is 18 and will be leaving for college next year, so this year is especially exciting and emotional. I love going early to church to usher on Christmas Eve. I get there when the sanctuary is quiet and beautiful.

  6. Heather Ward-Gregory says:

I love all of the traditions of the season… and the fact that I will be giving birth to my son right around Christmas adds to the excitement.

  7. I love decorating the tree! Which I’m excited to be doing today- and my husband is home sick so I get to remember the different ornaments with him. It’s the first time in six years we’ve been able to put up a tree so it’s been quite the walk down memory lane!

  8. Jessica Martini says:

I love making it magical for my children. The anticipation is so much fun for them. Then the sheer joy of Christmas morning as they unwrap their gifts and discover the things they wanted most and some things that Santa left as surprises. It makes my heart happy to make others happy and this is the time of year that it can be done without guilt or reserve.

  9. Linda Vible says:

I don’t have a lot of happy memories of Christmas growing up. It changed me and I never wanted my children to cry at Christmas. I created family traditions, such as decorating the house from top to bottom, buying each child an ornament every year (something that was special or significant to each child for the past year), watching our favorite Christmas shows, making hundreds of cookies at Christmas to give away, and adopting a family in need. When my children moved out, they were given their ornaments to decorate their trees and share the stories behind the ornaments with their children. I am at peace knowing those traditions will continue and hopefully, new ones will be started and passed down, too! Happy Holidays to all and may you experience the true blessings of this most magical time of the year!

  10. I love spending the time with my family – decorating the tree (hopefully with this beautiful ornament!), eating together and loving each other!

  11. catherine says:

I love the music- not pop music- but the off the beaten track carols and songs. I love religious music of the Renaissance and this is what plays in my home. (I am a professional musician)

I love seeing the holiday lights during the holiday season – they’re so pretty!

  17. Christmas is my favourite time of the year! I love everything from the music to the decorations to the food. I always hope (even here in Canada) for a white Christmas, which just adds to the ambiance and excitement!

  18. I love all the excitement and happiness of decorating and baking, and the joy of giving and receiving presents!

  19. I love the traditional food, it’s so good and comforting. But it is not only eating it that I love, I also love the cooking. Preparing lovely, yummy food with my family or friends and then sharing it with other people makes everything better. I also love going out with my friends or family to see the light decorations, they’re so cool and always make me happy. Finishing a walk like that with hot chocolate and home made Christmas cookies is one of the best things of the holiday season

  20. What I love about the holiday season is the chance to take time off work and relax with my family. It’s also pretty important to remember that God sent his son to live among us!

  21. Charlotte says:

My husband is always home at Christmas, and I love spending time just me, him, and our daughter. 🙂

  22. Norita Bergmann says:

I love remembering times past and creating new memories. I decorate with the Tower of London and a few Tudor ornaments to pay homage to my Tudor passion.

  23. Every Christmas is special, but this one is going to be even better because my little sister is due to be born in two weeks! 19 years younger than me, but I’m delighted that I will be able to watch her grow and experience the Christmas magic for herself. I’m very much looking forward to introducing her to my love of history too, and hope I can pass it on to her!

  24. I love Christmas time; the lights, the trees, the togetherness, and the shopping for presents for others. I love when I find something I know someone will love.

  25. Elly Vintage says:

I love creating memories for my family xx

  26. Christmas brings memories of loved ones no longer with us. Time to reflect on the year past. Being thankful for what I have, not what I have not. Remembering this was the time of Jesus’ birthday Seeing twinkling lights on trees in windows. Making it through another year 🙂

  27. i love the sudden peace that descends late on christmas eve.. when fairy lights are flickering and all goes still.. in that time you can sense christmases through time immemorial.. people gathered together in anticipation.. children all excited..the stillness and blessed peace for a few hours before it all begins..

I love all of the family gathering and enjoying the holiday. This year I am especially thankful for my beautiful 10 month old granddaughter.

  29. Janette Welch says:

Christmas is my favorite time of year. Aromas from the baking an trees fill the air, the music softly playing in the background, and the foods you only get at this season! Mmm! But the best has to be watching the children in our family playing and checking out my overdone Decorations of snowmen and Santas everywhere.

  30. Sue Cascio says:

For me, the “Holiday Season” starts at Labor Day and doesn’t stop until New Years Day. I love sharing family traditions and holiday meals with the kids in my family, teaching them how to prepare all the traditional dishes we like, putting up and taking down all the decorations for all the holidays during the season, and visiting with friends and family that come in to town to visit during ball the holidays.

i love the run up to Xmas, I love putting the tree up and then sitting with a glass of port enjoying the lights. I enjoy my son trying to guess what is wrapped up and his excitement starts as soon as he sees the tree and presents, prob enjoy this time more than xmas day itself

  34. Rachel Benton says:

What I love about the Christmas season is about being with my family. I love helping my mom with the decorating the house, and baking Christmas cookies. I love teasing my niece about Santa Clause. I love watching my family as they open their gifts I give them.
