Book Description

28th January 1547.
It is almost midnight and the cream of the English nobility hold their breath as King Henry VIII prepares to face his God. As the royal physicians wring their hands and Archbishop Cranmer gallops through the frigid night, two dispossessed princesses pray for their father’s soul and a boy, soon to be king, snivels into his velvet sleeve.
Time slows, and dread settles around the royal bed, the candles dip and something stirs in the darkness … something, or someone, who has come to tell the king it is time to pay his dues.
The Kiss of the Concubine is the story of Anne Boleyn, second of Henry VIII’s queens.

Such a beautiful story only to end tragically for Anne.
It must of been awful for Elizabeth to lose her mother at three years old! However as we all know it would eventually be Anne who had the last laugh, and what a Golden Age it was.

  26. The cover is striking!! And the story sounds promising, too!

  27. Oh yes, I’ve heard that on his deathbed Henry kept repeating: “Anne…..Anne Boleyn……”
But her name and she as a person overall was defiantely worth it. She was so amazing, simply breathtaking in her appearance both inside and outside. A part of her survived within Elizabeth and I think it was one of her greatest achievements. It would be a blast for me to know learn something about her, to discover her from a new point of view, to try to be in her shoes. She is one of the best rolemodels, because you can judge her as you like, but you got to admit – she changed Enland’s fate forever and also for that she got her name written in history of this country and maybe even world.

  28. Michelle Bollig says:
