Anne Boleyn, one of history’s most enigmatic women.

She captivated a king, and his obsession would ultimately change the world. Her story is one of love, secrets and betrayal.

Witching Hour Press, LLC is pleased to present their newest line of anthologies, Witching Hour Gothic! These anthologies will focus on darker historical stories for the history lovers we know are out there!

Witching Hour Press is now taking short story submissions for the anthology Anne Boleyn: Rota Fortunae ( or Anne Boleyn & Fortune’s Wheel ). All stories are to be historical fiction with dark or gothic centric stories about Anne Boleyn (horror, thriller, suspense, etc.), focused around one of the four phases of the wheel of life: her youth and rise at Court, her time as King Henry VIII’s object of desire, her reign as Queen, and her ending, which can include stories that deal with her relationship to her daughter, Elizabeth I.

STORY REQUIREMENTS:

– Heat rating not to exceed 3+ (please see heat ratings explanation below)

– Does NOT require new content (Must be eligible for exclusivity within anthology, however.)

– 10 to 15k Words

– All stories are to be historical fiction with dark or gothic-centric stories about Anne Boleyn (horror, thriller, suspense, etc), centering around one of the four phases of the wheel of life: her youth and rise at Court, her time as King Henry VIII’s object of desire, her reign as Queen, and her ending, which can include stories that deal with her relationship to her daughter, Elizabeth I.

MARKETING:

This set will have a marketing campaign and will be shared with the authors. However, despite the money spent, each author participating will be expected to be an ACTIVE part of the promotional team. In short, all authors are expected to participate in the promotion of the project.

PRIMARY GOAL:

The purpose of this set is EXPOSURE and SALES. We will be aiming for high sales numbers, so please only apply if you are ambitious and are willing to devote the time and effort it takes to accomplish this.
