365 Days with the Tudor Queens

365 Days with the Tudor Queens – an Intimate Journey of Discovery

Jan-Dec 2024

A 12-month immersive journey of discovery, learning and connection.

This immersive learning experience is much more than just an online course about the Tudor queens. Over 12 months, participants will come together and contribute to a supportive and inspiring online community of individuals who’ll share in a unique learning experience – one that will ultimately deepen their understanding of sixteenth-century queenship. Participants will take part in an in-depth exploration and study of the lives of the Tudor queens consort and regnant, from the uncrowned queen, Margaret Beaufort, to England’s Virgin Queen, Elizabeth I.

Acclaimed author and podcast host, Natalie Grueninger, will guide participants every step of the way and share research and sources gathered over the last 15 years – a period in which Natalie has been steeped in the study and research of Tudor history.

Natalie Grueninger

Natalie Grueninger will be joined by other Tudor history specialists along the way, including Dr Owen Emmerson, historian and assistant curator at Hever Castle. Renowned historian, broadcaster and joint Chief Curator at Historic Royal Palaces, Dr Tracy Borman, will deliver the opening address.

Testimonials from participants of this year’s course – 365 Days with Anne Boleyn

“I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of Natalie’s ‘365 Days with Anne Boleyn’ learning experience and have already gained a wealth of in-depth knowledge on this fascinating subject.  Participants from all around the world with a shared passion for Tudor history have the incredible opportunity to connect with and learn from respected historians and experts in this field, who generously share their knowledge and expertise through a thoughtfully curated series of pre-recorded lectures and videos, as well as regular live chats.  I would heartily recommend this course to any lover of the Tudor period.”

~ Claire Turner, Surrey, United Kingdom

“It has been a delight to participate in Natalie’s program on the Final Year of Anne Boleyn.  The recorded lectures are informative and engaging, while the live sessions and Facebook group offer a unique opportunity to interact directly with the historians and get answers to any specific questions that we have. Since everything is recorded, I didn’t have to worry if I had to miss a session and could learn on my own time. I’ve loved being a student again and can’t wait to see what she has next!”

~  Brooke Schubert, Cincinnati, Ohio USA

“When I signed up for 365 Days with Anne Boleyn, I wasn’t really sure what to
expect, except that there would be lectures on multiple aspects of her life
and legacy.  What an understatement!!  Natalie has prepared such a
thought-provoking and insightful experience, full of deep and sometimes new
insights from historians who are currently researching Anne and her family,
and offering new (and sometimes differing) perspectives on everything from
what she really looked like to why her career ended so suddenly.
I would highly recommend this experience to anyone, and look forward to
signing up for the full six queens treatment in 2024!”

~ Christina Kernebone, NSW, Australia

“I have loved every minute of this course! The speakers have been wonderful, fantastic researchers and scholars who deliver informative but also very accessible talks. The videos are easily accessed so you can watch them when you have the time and if you have to miss a live chat for some reason, you can always catch up with the recording. This course has been a must for anybody who is interested in Anne Bolyen and wants to hear about the most recent, cutting-edge research. It’s really wonderful to cut through a lot of the old underbrush of misconceptions and stereotypes that have grown up over the centuries around Anne Boylen.”

~ Thea Austen, Washington D.C., USA

“365 Days with Anne Boleyn has been the bright spot of 2023.  The lectures are so enlightening and I couldn’t imagine my life without this course.  I look forward to every lecture and live event.  I had been wondering what 2024 would be like without my weekly dose of Anne Boleyn.  Thankfully, Natalie came to the rescue with 365 Days of the Tudor Queens!  Thank you, Natalie!”

~ Allison LiCalsi, New Jersey, USA

“I’m so glad that I decided to join the 365 Days with Anne Boleyn adventure! The lectures have all been fabulous, thought-provoking and really allow you to dive into life in the Tudor world. From pre-recorded lessons, to live chats with leading scholars as well as video tours of historic sights, this study has it all. It’s always a good day when a new Anne Boleyn event pops into my inbox!”

~ Kari Ball, Ohio, USA

“I am thrilled to be taking part in the ‘365 Days with Anne Boleyn’ course that Natalie has offered for 2023.  The format suits me very well – a mixture of pre-recorded lectures with well-known Tudor historians, including Natalie, as well as live zoom meetings.  Everything is recorded so if you miss a zoom meeting you could view it at your leisure.  All lectures are catalogued in Vimeo which makes the lectures/discussions very easy to locate. Each week we get an update from Natalie along with upcoming content.  We are half way through this course and I have already learned so much – and my nagging questions on Anne Boleyn’s life have been broached.  We also have a private Facebook page to keep up with our other classmates.  At the beginning of our course we received a wonderful Welcome Gift Box with lovely Anne Boleyn and Tudor mementos designed by The Tudor Artist, Kathryn Holeman. I highly recommend this course to anyone that can’t get enough of Anne Boleyn.”

~ Joanne Prenez, Connecticut, USA

“Natalie’s 365 Days with Anne Boleyn course has been a dream for a Tudorphile like myself. The amount of time, research, and organization that Natalie put into creating the course is evident by the amazing quality of the content. From the fun little gift pack sent to participants to the incredible lineup of live and pre-recorded speakers she has secured throughout the year, the course is well worth the price, and I have enjoyed every moment of it thus far. Thank you, Natalie!”

~ Leslie Patrick, Norfolk, UK

“I signed up for this course in the hope that I would learn new and different things about this first executed Queen of England. I have not been disappointed. I have learned about Anne’s Irish roots, her French upbringing and her rise from lady in waiting to Queen. The lectures are spaced well to give busy people time to view them and then live conversations with well respected historians. Natalie has endeavored to make sure we enjoy the experience. She truly loves Talking Tudors.”

How much does this course cost? I live in U.S.A. Is Mary Stuart part of the Tudor Queens? As to those digital coloring, could I order that as an adult coloring book?

    • Hi Lisa, the cost is in the post. Please scroll down and you’ll find all the details. As for Mary Stuart, she’s not one of the queens that we’ll be focusing on, although she may certainly make an appearance in the lectures. As for the colouring pages, sadly the book is currently sold out. Thanks for your interest though!

I live in Perú. I would love to join this group to learn more about the Tudors. I visited Hever Castle when I was living in England. My mother’s family name is Bullen. I would love to learn about Anne Boleyn.
