The Boleyn Apartment at Hever Castle
Natalie Grueninger speaks with Dr Owen Emmerson about the now-lost Queen’s Apartments at the Tower of London
Tune in to hear Natalie and Owen discuss:
– The Tower’s functions throughout history
– The now-lost Queen’s apartments & the Great Hall
– The refurbishments completed for Anne Boleyn’s coronation
– Anne Boleyn’s visits to the Tower
– Anne Boleyn’s association with the King’s House
– Princess Elizabeth’s stay at the Tower
I found this to be one of the most interesting episodes. All of the episodes are wonderful, but this one makes my top ten list. I feel that I have learned so much about a place that has always attracted me. The Tower. I am not really that visual, but during this episode I really felt that I had The Tower in my sights. I also felt the emotional connections between Anne and Elizabeth. I also learned so much about the Boleyns as builders which is not something that I have thought about before. So, Thank you both so much.
