Katherine Howard, Henry VIII's  5th wife, whose extra-marital dalliances led to her arrest and confinement in her apartments at Hampton Court Palace, discovered that her husband was near by in the Chapel. There are so many Tudor personalities worthy of comment and discussion that it's difficult to know where to begin. A person that does awaken my imagination is George Boleyn. Why is it that we have so little information about George? Henry VIII- Gentle Prince or Monster?

After watching David Starkey's Henry VIII: Man and Monarch series I felt rather ill. I know that in his position he was at times forced to make some difficult decisions but  it seems to me that he really enjoyed handing out gruesome death sentences on his subjects. A gentle prince? A very warm "hello" to all Anne Boleyn and Tudor fans out there. It's so nice to know that we're not alone in our admiration and fascination of this woman that graced the Earth so long ago.
