Ghosts of Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle

An ancient castle dating back to the time of William the Conqueror- Windsor Castle is home to a plethora of ghosts and eerie tales.

Among them, King Henry VIII, is said to walk the corridors of the castle dragging his ulcerated leg and groaning in agony.

His daughter, Elizabeth I, manifests in the Royal Library of the castle allegedly having been witnessed by members of the Royal family. The sounds of her heels on the floorboards precede the full apparition that once manifested walks through the library and into an inner room. The apparition is said to wear a black lace shawl over her shoulders and a black gown.

Her mother, Queen Anne Boleyn, has been seen standing at the window in the Dean’s Cloister.
